January 23, 2077 James sighed as he read through the newspaper, ironically it seemed the only good news coming out of it now was the war in China, which was essentially meant to be like what Rome did to Hannibal and Carthage, attacking the home of an aggressor while being attacked at home forcing the aggressor to return home to be put on the defensive. According to military sources with the Fall Of Shanghai and the now rapidly advancing American army, Beijing itself was predicted to be flying under the flag of the Commonwealth by October and the horrendous war will finally be over. However, at home, food riots, the New Plague, and American soldiers firing on civilians as if they were enemy combatants seemed to be getting more and more prevelant. And now it seemed as though any power armor unit not deployed in China or getting ready to deploy would be fighting American civilians looking at the events of the previous day. James sighed, even if nuclear doomsday doesn't come and the Chinese are defeated, America likely wouldn't survive unless some major reforms occured, and the Vaults may be used after all...
February 2nd 2077 Edward stood next to a team of scientists inside the laboratories of the West Tek Research Facility. As the Director of the CIA, Edward wore a black tuxedo with a black tie. However, he also wore two black gloves and his signature matching coat. He also wore a pair of black sunglasses as he stood next to the team of scientists. One of them, a relatively young yet brilliant woman dressed in a lab-coat stood next to him as they stared at a suit of power armor in a display case inside. "The T-51b powered infantry armor, the pinnacle of American technological achievement. It has been under development for eleven years, and it's design has finally been completed, entered mass production and was used for the first time upon the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska" The female scientist said. "The armor is fitted with a back-mounted TX-28 MicroFusion Pack which generates an output power of 60,000 Watts to power the HiFlo hydraulic systems built into the frame of the suit. Made of a poly-laminate composite, the outer shell of the T-51b is lightweight and capable of absorbing over 2500 Joules of kinetic impact. The 10-micron-thick silver ablative coating can reflect laser and other radiation emissions without damage to the composite subsurface, and the eyeslit for the helmet is made of bulletproof glass to protect the wearer from any projectiles. The armor usually carries enough fuel to last for one thousand years, and fuel with our current resources is relatively easy to replicate." The scientist said. "Simply put, this puts the T-45d version of Power Armor to shame in every single way and is now standard issue for American Soldiers in the army's Mechanized Cavalry Regiments. What do you think sir?" Edward looked at the suit of power armor before a slight grin appeared on his face. "This is going to save thousands of lives. This will win the war." he said simply before turning around to shake the hands of all of the scientists involved. "The Chinese has seen how deadly this suit of Power Armor is already when we took Anchorage back. Now, we're going to push harder into China until we reach Beijing. You're all heroes..."
(Oh, hey, I remember hearing this one theory that the Vault Tec CEO and the Enclave was the ones who started the Great War as America was winning the war and it seemed like all the money they spent on the Vaults and the Vault Experiments with the idea of taking the world for themselves afterwords was about to go to waste. Wanna do that?)
(Maybe you or I or both could do like a sorta meeting thing between the Enclave and Vault Tec board of directors just before the Fall of Beijing where they decide to do that?)
(That sounds like a cool idea. Edward is technically in the Enclave already, considering him playing a role as one of it's founders. Anyway, let's go with that )
(Well, unless he knows he's in the Enclave, or even knows it exists at all, he's Enclave, otherwise no. And James likely wouldnt be in the discussion)
(Alright, Edward isn't Enclave. Wanna start this, studies are being brutal at the moment and I just won't have time to start a long post.)
(That's alright. I think we should start a new one, I've forgotten all about the last one we were doing.)
(We could go back to FO:E or stay in the normal FO-verse. Or perhaps we could start something entirely different. I had one particularly good idea however, what if Equestria had found a way to the Fallout universe? Would be fun to experiment, maybe ship Damien with a pony girlfriend. There was another one involving alternate character histories, where Project Eternal never existed, meaning that Crimson never became a super-solider and leader of the Federation, instead, he became a brilliant scientist/multi-billionaire (Mr.House/Tony Stark styled figure) who made massive innovations in robotics and AI, and I thought of making this alternate history of him as a pacifist. He would survive the war, but injuries after the last day would have turned him into a cyborg. What do you think ?)
(Eh, that former one pretty much smacks of Mark Co, but lets go with the "some ponies find themselves in Fallout universe" thing, it could be FoE ponies or not ^^)
(I was thinking of non FOE ponies but FOE ponies are still a really good idea. But for Non FOE ponies, it would mean they would be kinda useless in defending themselves against raiders or slavers, or deathclaws if they were not to be modernized. Thinking around pre-war FOE if we go ahead with that scenario. I'm thinking for setting wise, maybe after 2277 after the 1st Hoover Dam battle.)
(Alrighty, then I'll play as saay...Snow? Only that the teleportation process makes her a lot you ger ^^)
(Sure. I'll start with an intro) War. War never changes. When atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in great, underground vaults. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, form new tribes. As decades passed, what had been the American southwest united beneath the flag of the New California Republic, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of law. As the Republic grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread east, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Mojave Desert. They returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world, and a great wall spanning the Colorado River. The NCR mobilized its army and set it east to occupy the Hoover Dam, and restore it to working condition. But across the Colorado, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged in the conquest of 86 tribes: Caesar's Legion. Four years have passed since the Republic held the Dam - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, they gathered strength. Campfires burned, training drums beat. Through it all, the New Vegas Strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer, Mr. House, and his army of rehabilitated Tribals and police robots. Within four years, the Mojave wasteland had encountered a new form of life in the brutal expanse of the wasteland. The ponies from the land of Equestria had found a way into this new world, establishing communications and relationships with the settlements and factions of the wastes, particularly being the NCR and the hard working people of New Vegas. Throughout this time, the Equestrians had settled rather comfortably in the wastes despite the harsh world around them. It would only be a matter of time before the Legion makes its assault onto Hoover Dam, the outcome of the attack deciding the fate of the Mojave and potentially all of America, if not the world, for decades to come. (Oh boy....it's going to be amazing for my slightly revised fanon. Don't be surprised for who I'm going to use for this, the scenario is perfect.)
(I had the preset population of being a small colony of around 3,000. It's like the RP where it was the Glorians who were in the same situation, except that it plays a greater whole. I have a massive emphasis on a plot point that will be focused upon later, which at the moment I will say that it's world changing. I also was thinking of the Independent path as well, seeing how it won't work well with any other faction, especially NCR, where let's say...Snow and Damien help turn the Mojave into it's own independent nation.)
