Janii was shown into a brightly lit room where the walls were completely white and padded, with a single table with two chairs facing each other with a one-way window at one end, "Talk about a stereotypical interrogation room..." he muttered as he was forced over to one of the chairs and forced to sit down, his pistol still on him, but his ammo was in a separate pocket to encourage them to think he intended to hold up his end of the bargain. The two armed guards then took their positions at the corners of the room and after a few minutes of waiting, a man in a black suit walked in and took the chair opposite of Janii, who looked at him with an emotionless face. "So. I'm just going to lay down the law right now, we do this the easy way and answer all my questions truthfully, and you stay locked up but in comfortable conditions. Or we could do this the hard way and not comply and force us to use additional measures and force us to send you to Guantanamo where you will live with the 150 worst terrorists in the world that we have captured, outside normal US jurisdiction." The interrogator said matter of factly Janii sat there, staring blankly at him before chuckling, "What? Not going to ask nicely at least? Rude much." he sighed, chuckling. The joke incurred no reaction Janii sighed before entering a silent staring contest with the interrogator, both with blank faces. "Make your choice." "Well, how am I supposed to answer any questions if you haven't asked?" The interrogator looked at Janii slightly annoyed before clearing his throat, "What is your name?" "Janii Miiliitarii Naviinius." "What are you?" "A human." "No you're not, you are not from earth." "That may be true but I am just as human as you and everyone in this room, just a different kind of human." "Fine, what kind of human are you?" "Racist now? For shame. Fine, Terrean." "What is a "Terrean"?" "Someone from Terra." "What is Terra?" "A planet." "Obviously, but where is it?" "But you didn't ask where it was." "Stop avoiding the question." "Stop being so mean." "Dammit, I am this close to calling in the additional measures!" "Oh, I'm sorry, my training says I can't say anything." The interrogator opened his mouth to call in reinforcements for "additional measures before suddenly, quick as lightning, Janii grabbed the interrogator and pulled him across the table, in front of his face, the suddenness filling his face in fright, before holding up his hand to stop the guards from firing, he didn't know why though. "Let me tell you something." Janii said in a deathly low voice, his face deadpan, "I have more training than you, those two, and everyone in that observation room combined, I am considered among the most dangerous men on my home planet, the only reason you've survived is because I don't feel like killing, especially when you likely have the little girl that was with me that I was taking care off in the other room. And let me tell you something else, standard protocol in my country in dealing with a lost soldier is to send two ships, each carrying 2000 men just like me, or maybe even our elite of the elite troops, men who are taken in at birth to be trained to do nothing more than kill their enemies in the quickest, most efficient way possible, wearing armor that has been known to take direct hits from anti-tank weaponry and survive. And the only orders given to those men will be to retrieve me alive in any way possible. And those ships have guns that can wipe out entire cities. So don't [censored] with me, or you will regret it in three days time when they arrive. Oh, and by the way, the corp I'm a member of? The Magniitiums? Never in their 3,000 year history has one cracked in an interrogation, not a single one." Janii then virtually through the interrogater back in his chair and sat back down, "I'm useless to you. All I am is just a walking timebomb. One that if you dont hand over to where he belongs well...Let's just say not one of you will be alive in four day's time." (Write the response?)
(Sure) "That will be all, Terrean" said a voice from a loudspeaker before the door suddenly opened to reveal a man in a neat orderly suit with slick brown hair followed by two heavily armed guards, who also wore black suits. The other guards in the room instantly saluted as the fear intensified in the original interrogators face. "Mr President...." he muttered. "I will take everything from here" The president replied before looking upwards at the window. "Bring the girl out, she's innocent." he said calmly before there was a moment of inactivity before Charlotte was taken back into the room, where she sat next to Janii. The President sat next across from the Terrean and relaxed himself "Allow me to take the opportunity to apologize for the actions undertaken by the United States, specifically those organized by the Secretary of Defense. My name is Elliot Daniels, 44th president of the United States and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Unlike my predecessors and acquaintances, I'll do anything within my power to ensure that you return home. Of course, we need to make sure that this avoids the public eye. While your history and people fascinate me, there are quite a few members of our government that are more...let's say, 'xenophobic' than others. Of course, I'm not like those buffoons. Is there anything that I could help you with?"
"Very simple, leave me be until my people pick me and the girl up, as she requested to me, and it'll be over." Janii said simply
"Very well, I'll make sure that all federal law enforcement will leave you and this girl alone until the moment of your extraction." President Daniels replied simply. "I'll make sure that I will keep the two of you safe"
Janii nodded, "Thank you." Janii studied the president, "You know, you remimd me of my Imperatii Ciivanta, basicallu president."
(Hey. Sorry if I haven't been online lately, my life has gone to hell at the moment. Forgive me if I seem to respond for a longer time than usual. Also, time-skip to the Terrean arrival?)
(Of course man) Two light frigates suddenly came out of a makeshift jump portal behind the moon, coming around the surface in stealth mode. Moving in in less than a day, they followed the emergency signal broadcasting from a remote location deep inside the Rocky Mountains in a large basin. They slipped into the atmosphere and hovered unseen above the base's airstrip. There, they suddenly came into view and the sides moved out slightly, dropping a series of spacefighters (the EF-47, Sabrii(Sabre)) and landing shuttles. Before the humans even knew what was going on, an entire E/M Legio(meaning 2000 Elatians and 3000 Magniitiums) had surrounded the base, ready to attack should the humans refuse to surrender Janii. A voice came over a megaphone, "Entiicón Earth Humans, this is Legianiitus Davii Novadius, you have one of ours in your base, surrender him now or we will destroy this base brick by brick until we find him!"
The guards and the President assisted Jarii and Charlotte out from the base and led them out into the open, the guards weaponry being holstered to reveal that they are cooperating and non-hostile. Charlotte coughed slightly before noticing the landing shuttles and the spacecraft flying around.
Janii took the hand of Charlotte and walked towards his countrymen, waving to show he was unharmed, "Kiimoriidus! Iim devii!" (Countrymen/comrades! I'm okay!") Then, a squad of magniitiums ran out and surrounded him, guiding him and Charlotte, asking no questions why he had an earth human child with him, to the shuttle, and before they knew it, they had been lifted off and taken back onto the light frigate just as Janii summoned the EF 55, arriving in time to join in the hanger bay as it closed. Soon, the two were taken to a medical office to make sure they were purged of any earth viruses and giving Charlotte several shots to build her immune system against Terrean viruses, all the while, Janii never left her side
From living in total poverty to suddenly finding herself on a spaceship, it all seemed to be all to sudden for Charlotte. From what she knew, she had just been injected with at least five shots to protect her immune system from what she thought were lethal viruses, viruses that could be a total disaster to humanity in it's current state if it were to suddenly infect another. Despite that she was in her early teens, the lights and sounds all seemed to daze Charlotte for a few minutes. But what secretly surprised her was how Jarii stood at her side, almost like a father figure. She would have curled up into a ball and placed her head on Jarii's head to fall asleep, but it would eventually have to wait. She wanted to thank Jarii for changing her life and hug the stuffing out of him to show affection, but she felt that it wasn't time yet.
After being cleared for mingling, Janii took Charlotte to their room for the day journey to Terra. Inside, there were two beds, a barrack had been set aside just for hin so he could have a comfortable journey back home. The walls were metallic grey, looking more like a warship on the ocean than a futuristic spaceship, "Well, here we are." He said, plopping down on a bed, smiling at Charlotte, "On our way to Terra. You will not believe your eyes when you look around, Gloriia Renovatus, where we are going, is the capital of the Gloriian empire, 20 BILLION people across the entire system live in Glory, with 8 billion on Terra itself. Renovatus proper, well, it's 36 square miles of buildings taller than mountains, home to over 100 million people, and, the Imperatus Ciivantus, whom is going to meet us when we get there! The leader of the entire nation!"
Charlotte kept a smile on her face. She thought that with a metropolis of people in such a high amount in population, she thought that it would be easy for her to get lost in the millions or billions of people. Nonetheless, she was impressed about the facts, and even more impressed that she was meeting the Imperatus Ciivantus when she got there with Janii.
(Okie Dokie) Once they arrived on Terra, the shuttle landed on a pad where the shuttle door soon opened to lead Charlotte and Jarii down. Soon, the two of them were escorted to meet the Imperatus Ciivantus, who happened to be heading towards them not long after being informed about their arrival.
Imperato Ciivante Dawn Star Mark, an Equestrian whose fanily immigrated 3 generations ago and had become a symbol of Gloriian acceptence of all species, trotted over wearing a formal business suit and the GloriisSriinolii(Crown of Glory, a simple titanium-silver alloy band really that makes the head of state of Glory, every leader of a unified Glory has worn it) on her head. "Salút riispectiinii legiinaire Janii, Iim hapiinii a viisii út en oñc sapiin."(Greetings honorable soldier Janii, I'm glad to see you in one piece) Janii nodded and began speaking in English for Charlotte's sake, "Thank you, Imperto. I'm glad to be back." He said, looking off to just a few miles away were Gloriia Renovatus stood in all its granduer, with the Tower of the Empire, a building 10 miles tall and the largest, tallest ever built in the Orion Arm, towering over at twice the height of the rest, "This is Charlotte, an Earth human I picked up. I would appreciate it if you could, if not make her a citizen, a national. She hasn't quite gotten around to learning Gloriian yet..." Dawn Star nodded, studying Charlotte, reconizing the need to speak in English "It is law in Glory that in order to be a citizen, you have to serve for 2 years. So I can't make her a citizen, but I will grant her national status after what you've been through. Welcome home, Janii. A squad of 1st Elatiians will take you home. Now, I'm sure you didn't want anything in the city proper so I got you something in the suburbs of Silva. And nice to meet you Charlotte, good to see Janii did some good on his adventure."
With the arrival of a cartoon pastel-colored pony, Charlotte could not help herself but wonder about the possibilities of being able to start anew on the new strange yet wonderful appearing world. She was always good at building things, she had to be when she wondered across America having to build herself shelter. The first thing on her mind was to attend school, but having no idea on how she would be received, decided to learn Gloriian first before getting herself ready. She was street smart, but missing out on school for most of her life made her fall behind on being book-smart. Needless to say, she was quite good with electronics and mechanical work. Charlotte bowed towards the pony ahead of her. "Nice to meet you, Imperato Ciivante. Sorry if I don't speak Gloriian, I promise to get straight to work on it!" she said cheerfully. (I told one of my friends about the Gloriian language that you've made, and he's actually quite interested)
(Cool! Think I should type out like a beginners type thing for her to look at? (Like basic grammar rules and the like)) Dawn chuckled, "Well, we have school for that and there's no better way to learn a language than by immersion! Also, don't bow to me, there's no royalty here in Glory. Janii, you're officiallu granted the standard stranded jumper retirement treatment. I wish you luck in your life, whatever it may hold. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a United Council meeting to attend. Welcome home, Janii." With tbat, she turned and bordered a limo in a military convoy that then set off towards the city, leaving Janii, Charloyye, and their Elatian escorts by themselves. "Well, any thoughts so far, Charlotte?" He asked her
Charlotte shrugged her shoulders before thinking about what she could do. After a brief pause, she looked over to Jarii. "I really like this place. Don't really know what to do, I'll let you decide."
