They arrived at the castle, and entered the main hall. The splendor of the room dazzled even Celestia. She was used to the finer things, but this room, with inlaid mother-of-pearl and gold always took her breath away.
Frozen scarcely noticed the beauty of the building. His long life would soon come to an end. He scarcely cared to see his tomb.
"First, we must ask you, Mr. Heart, do you admit to having any correlation with this sudden snowfall?" Luna asked.
"Because I am a monster," he said plainly, "I believe that is the term your people would use to describe it." He turned and looked Celestia in the eyes, "You are known across Equestria for your kind heart and fair rule. I leave my fate in your hands."
Luna started, and a stormy look crossed her face. "Guards!" she called angrily, "Take him to the dungeon immediately." "Luna!" Celestia said, concerned but not surprised at her sister's reaction. She sighed. "Perhaps you should go cool off, sister."
Frozen looked at Celestia with an incredulous look. He was surprised she wasn't going to kill him! "Why do you stay your hoof?"
"Your sister did not seem so hesitant to offer me judgement, yet you offer me mercy," Frozen stepped closer to her and their eyes met, "You would be wise to trust her judgement. I am a danger to everypony around me, thus I am always alone. That is my curse." He turned to Luna, "I will go with you to the dungeons."
"Luna, leave." Celestia commanded, ruffled by the eye contact. "But-" Luna began, her eyes flaming. "Go. You have too much of a personal connection to this."
Frozen waited for the princess to leave, and then turned to Celestia, "Why did you do that?" He asked softly.
"I have made many cruel decisions in my life, Mr. Heart," Celestia said gently, "But I will not persecute you because of what you were born as."
"Not always, Mr. Heart. Not always. But I've taken an interest in you," she said, as she sat in a chair. "So, please, tell me your story."
Frozen sat quietly. He related his story as best as he could, leaving out few details save for when he felt it was best he didn't explain ot graphically. (To save you from having to read it again lol)
(lol. Thank you.) Celestia sat, not interrupting. When the tale was finished, she was struck by how she felt for the stallion. "I'm sorry, Mr. Heart. You have been dealt an unfair deck in life."
(Np lol) "Whoever said you can't choose your family was narrow minded," Frozen said, "I was born an outcast, and I chose to walk alone. I am without family."
