I really wish I was older so that I could appreciate the more retro games when they were out. I'd love to be one of the one's who discovered the secrets of Legend of Zelda, or one of the first to play Mario.
Ah, mental age? We're doing that as well? Um, I dunno, maybe 17? Yeah, that sounds about right. You know, I used to feel like this, too, although for a different reason. I wanted to be a kid when the first silver age comics came out (late fifties, early sixties, for those that don't know). But then I began noticing something. Now, years later, when I talk about buying comic books when I was a kid, some of the people wish they were my age! "When I first bought comics, they were thirty-five cents each! And everyone looked down at you! And X-Men made sense!"
I turn 16 in 17 days, but for the time being, I will represent myself as 15. Not that it matters, the poll counts 15 and 16 as the same age :derpe:
My birthday was 21st February 1998 - The same day and month as The Legend of Zelda (squee!) - Same year as Ocarina of Time and many great games - Scheduled to be born on valentines day though - Spent my childhood playing games from way beyond I was born. People playing Halo Reach? I was beating Adventure of Link and Mega Man 2 :3. N64 and Game Boy was my childhood. And Theme Hospital. And the 3D Maze Screensaver on Windows 98.
Supposedly, I was born early. My mom claims she was hoping for a Christmas Child, but she got a Thanksgiving Turkey instead. And I have to say, no computer games came out on the day I was born. I don't even have to look that up.
I found out because on Zelda's 25th anniversary, it was my birthday and people were all hyped and lots of great stuff happened Best. Birthday. Ever.
I was born in the year 1996 (I bet you didn't see that coming). That was the year of: - Pokemon Red and Green (Japan) - N64 - Crash Bandicoot - Tomb Raider Pretty good year that.
well i was born in 1992 on the day of the czernobyl nuclear catastrohpe. every birthday i get a friendly reminder that hundred-thousands of people died a slow agonizing that. it doesn't feel so good.
My parents say I am immature. Everyone else says I'm mature. Personally I think I'm more mature than my parents most of the time, I take the time to think things through before saying them, especially if it might insult someone. They aren't so thoughtful when it comes to their children. I get insulted a lot, 90% of the time it is from my parents. Everyone else is quite nice... Maybe it's just me. At this age I hear rebellion against your parents is practically inevitable, though I've been rebelling against my dad since I was 9 years old. We don't get along at all. Anyhow, I'm 17 in about three weeks. Getting Fire Emblem for my birthday hopefully. ^^ Just un momento, I will see what my mental age is "officially". EDIT: Heh, my mental age is 47.
Darn, I thought you were closer to my age, but the truth is you're 11 months older than me What else have I gotten wrong here?
One thing bothers me: In less than a year, my vote will be incorrect, for I will belong to a different category in the poll.
