I was a little concerned about posting my age until I read some of the posts. I hope this doesn't weird some of you out. I'm 52.

Woah, dude... You're like, almost exactly a year younger than I am, Poetic. We could celebrate our birthdays together. Lol, they're 7 days apart. ^^ Both of us shall be having birthdays soon, I guess!
I'm 31 and in college for the first time. I look really young for my age though. I had to grow a beard just to look like I was in my 20's. Maturity is hard to measure. I still act like a kid some times, I play video games, watch cartoons etc, and I fit in better with people in there 20's than people my age, but I don't do all the stupid stuff I did when I was younger that got me in trouble. But wow, seeing how young y'all are is making me feel old. How depressing.
You shouldnt bother about your age. I'm 25. So accidently i voted on 21-25, but if i would be correct im 25 years and some month... ANYWAY nice to see that im not the only pony which is that old
Being old isn't so bad. Not that I would know, of course. But there are pros and cons to old and young. The grass is just always greener on the other side.
I have realized there is no real difference between being a child and an adult. Adults are just children grown up after all, we may have more freedom but also more responsibillity. Overall, there are things I thought was better during my childhood, but I enjoy the freedom I have today, even if I sometimes abuse it and pay the consequences for it. Overall, I think that I have it easier being into ponies as an adult as no person has the right to forbid me to watch it regardless of what they might think of me. I may be 21, my mental age though is both higher and lower than that. Sometimes I feel like I have lived for thousands of years and seen civilizations crumble around me. Sometimes I still feel as a kid, with a fresh perspective on this world. You could say that I am mentally in my middle years and emotionally still an adolescent. Both of these aspects of myself highly enjoy ponies, but I doubt I would have given the show a chance when I actually was a kid, I was sadly too narrow minded at the time. Today though I am mature enough that I can admit to myself I used to enjoy G1 ponies while I was in (magic) kindergarden.
Overall...yeah. He was the man behind many of my favorite childhood cartoon characters and the probably the source of that saying you quoted which is also the philosophy behind FIM. Still...I do prefer Lauren Faust.

I'm 21, and finally legal to hit the bottle. Though I have no problem admitting that I've been drinking for almost 6 years now, because RULES ARE FOR CHUMPS!!! (plz dun arrest me T~T)
