She laughed before pulling a Sprite out of the fridge.

“Want one?”

 

She tossed it to him before pulling out another one for her.

 

She came back over to him, picking up the trash and tossing it into the garbage.

 

She blinked in surprise, her brows furrowing.

“Are you... worrying?”

 

“About me?”

 

She beamed, seeming delighted.

“Aw, Gabe. You do care.”

 

She seemed pleased, coming over to him, her head resting on her hand.

"You care about what happens to me."
