Something Creative (One-on-One)

She laughed out loud, reaching across the table and tapping his nose.

"You're sweet. I'll be fine, though. Don't worry."

 

Her smile faded a little but she shrugged, going to sit on the couch.

"Don't fret."

 

"Mm. Thanks for the company."

 

She blinked, her brows furrowing.

"Is everything alright?"

 

"No, you don't have to," she said, pulling her knees to her chest. "I've kept you here for a while anyway."

 

She blinked, looking up at him.

“You do?”

 

“Oh. Well, you’re welcome to stay, but I might be pretty boring.”

 

“As in, I may fall asleep.”

 

“It’s up to you,” she said, stretching as she grabbed a newspaper from the table and opened it.

 

She glanced up at him with a small smile.

“Don’t forget your jacket.”
