She raised an eyebrow, a frown crossing her face as she brushed her fingers over his arm. "Gabe," she said gently. "I wouldn't lie about this. You're very, very pretty."
She sighed, her normally observant gaze missing the shyness and making her pull away. "Okay, okay. I'll just finish this up."
It took her almost an hour, and she finally pulled away, sighing worriedly. "I think I did it. You had a lot of glass in you."
She stood up and sighed, pulling a blanket over him and brushing his hair back before sitting down and leaning back against the chair, folding her arms and closing her eyes.
Petra was asleep next to him, her head tipped back and her dark hair messily cradling her head. Her lips were slightly parted, and her face was calm except for the slight furrowing of her brows.
Her arms were crossed across her chest, and she was leaning back against the couch. Some of her thick, black hair would have fallen next to his arm, and he would see a second piercing on her ear through the cartilage. Her eyes were closed, her dark eyelashes stark against her tawny skin, and she sighed slightly, turning her head into the cushion, her full brow furrowing in what looked like worry.
She murmured before her eyes fluttered open, her gaze immediately landing on him. “..Gabe...” she said sleepily, sitting up. “You okay?”
