She stiffened, very clearly surprised before she hugged him back, her head resting on his shoulder. "Of course."
She sighed for a moment, enjoying his closeness, before pulling away, her hands on his shoulders. "You can't put yourself in danger like that," she said sternly. "I won't always be around."
She groaned slightly, shaking her head. "Please, Gabe. I came to the track to beat you up for partaking in such a dangerous activity. Please?"
She visibly relaxed, nodding slightly, her alert gaze flickering to meet his hazel eyes. "Good. Thank you."
She shifted uncomfortably before dropping her hands, shaking her head. "No. Just stay safe. We wouldn't move on if something happened to you."
She studied him with those large, searching eyes for a moment before sighing, standing up. "Are you hungry?"
