She flipped on the light with nimble fingertips before going over to the rabbit cage, letting them out. They each stretched individually before coming over to Gabe curiously.
She went into the kitchen and the rabbits began chewing on his shoes, their teeth grating into the material.
One of the rabbits, a grey one with large brown eyes, paid him no mind. The other one, a white and brown one with floppy ears looked up at him for a moment before hopping up on the couch and moving into his lap.
The rabbit heaved a large, content sigh, closing its eyes. The other rabbit, seeing that such affection was easily claimed, also hopped onto the couch and crawled into Gabe's lap.
Petra stuck her head out of the kitchen, holding a plate. "What-" She paused before seeing the rabbits before her eyes widened. "Oh my God."
She burst into laughter, coming over to him, looking down at him for a moment before leaning down and kissing him, holding his jaw in her hands.
