"Aren't you cold?"
"I am," she agreed. "But you'll keep me warm."
He chuckled, nodding. "Yes, that's fair."
"I'm a leech human."
"My leech human."
"Yep. And you are my nourishment."
"I will gladly keep you well."
"Thanks, babe," she said wryly, sitting on a park bench.
He laughed, sitting beside her. "Of course."
She moved closer to him, slipping into his coat with him.
He pulled her close. "Better?"
"Much," she agreed, burying her face in his neck.
He nodded, a small smile on his face. "Good."
She closed her eyes, clearly enjoying his company.
He kept her close, sipping his hot chocolate.
They sat like that for a while before Gray jumped up on the bench.
Gabe grinned. "Lie down."
He harrumphed, but did as Gabe said.
"Good boy."
He rested his head on Petra's lap.
