She passed him his cocoa and turned on the TV.

 

Gray hopped up, panting.

 

Petra came up close to Gabe, burying her face in his neck.

 

"Mm. You're warm."

 

"And you smell nice."

 

"And you look beautiful."

 

She laughed, opening her eyes to look at him.

"No, I don't, Gabe. I'm in my pajamas."

 

"Yeah, but you're you."

 

"So, you're naturally beautiful," she said, resting her hand on his chest. "You're so attractive, Gabe."

 

"You are," she insisted, propping her chin up on his sternum. "You're just... Gah. You're so handsome."
