Something Creative (One-on-One)

She glanced at him for a moment, her gaze soft, before they moved up, heading for the top floor.

 

They entered a hallway and faced three doors. Petra squinted at it for a moment.

 

Her gaze was intense, but her golden eyes almost glinted with excitement in the darkness.

"I learned from the tour that there's a code for these doors," she said quickly over the earpiece. "One of them leads to his quarters. The other two set off the alarm. See the panels in the doors?"

 

She grinned, looking downright joyful.

"So, I learned about these during the tour," she said brightly. "I managed to get a few of the guards drunk. Turns out, the code is pretty simple. "

 

She grinned before stepping forward and pressing the panels.

"Left 6, right 4, left 3, left 2, middle 5, left 1, right 3, middle 3, right 2, left 6, middle 4, middle 4, middle 4."

There was a clicking noise, and the door on the left opened.

 

"That's why we spend a lot of time memorizing," she said cheerfully, stepping through the door.

 

"That's why you have me."

 

"Thank you."

 

"There shouldn't be. I studied the floor plan pretty closely."

 

She led the way, moving up the stairs quickly.
