"But that's what family is."
"Nah. I mean, family is a strong connection, really."
He shrugged, saying nothing.
"Sorry," she said with a self-conscious laugh. "I'm babbling."
"No, it's alright.'
She gave him a smile before gesturing with her head. "C'mon."
He followed, his head cocked .
She went to the fruit section and began to pick up oranges, inspecting them.
He looked around, inspecting some avocados.
She returned to him a few minutes later. "I need to go... buy something."
"Isn't that what we're here to do?'
"By myself," she said, holding the list in her hands.
"Oh.. Okay."
She squinted at him before sprinting for the soda aisle.
He pursed his lips, squinting as he watched her go.
She disappeared in the aisle.
He crossed his arms, heading towards the aisle.
She had a cart and was putting a case of diet Sprite in the bottom.
He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow.
