She shrugged before focusing on the guitar. "I'm not being coy when I say I really don't have any skill. It was a long time ago, and born from necessity."
She considered the question for a moment. "Not as much anymore," she said eventually. "But I used to."
She blinked, seeming a little surprised. Sighing, she pulled her knees up to her chest. "Well... what would you like to hear?"
She sighed slightly, looking up at the ceiling and avoiding his gaze. There was a moment of silence before she began to sing, her voice low and quiet, but rich and smooth. "Why do birds suddenly appear everytime you are near? Just like me, they long to be, close to you..."
She paused for a moment, her brow furrowed as she leaned back against the wall. Taking a deep breath, she continued. There was a nervousness to her posture that would seem unfamiliar to Gabe, but her voice didn't reflect it. "Why do stars fall down from the sky everytime you walk by? Just like me, they long to be, close to you..."
She trailed off after a moment before shrugging uncomfortably, standing up. "I don't have the rest memorized."
