“It was diet Sprite. Besides, you’re the one who broke into my home. If you didn’t want to see all this, you shouldn’t have done it. I’ll grab you a spoon.” She set the rabbits next to her on the couch and stood up, revealing an oversized t-shirt and a pair of shorts.
She brought back a spoon and slid the pint with the new spoon in it across the floor to him before resuming her spot, eyeing the television with a frown.
She squinted at him for a moment, tapping her own spoon against her lips. “Rude. You do realize that I could have killed you while you were sleeping, yes? It would have been a lot easier and a lot less elaborate.”
“I’m not like you,” she said flatly, petting her rabbit. “Assassinations are a job, not some sick way for me to get my kicks.”
