Pretty dang simple. :derpe:In fact, I'm surprised that no one has made a thread like this yet. Discussion on great songs by artists who are more often than not less than great. My pick? "Six Foot Seven Foot" by Lil Wayne. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7tOAGY59uQ I have a whole back-story about this song, but be warned: it's tl;dr For context, Lil Wayne and rappers like him were basically the main reason why I spent most of my high school days listening to ONLY classic rock and seeing rap as unintelligent. Of course, now I LOVE rap for artists like Tech N9NE, Hopsin and of course Eminem, but Lil Wayne still strikes me as a poor lyricist whose song topics typically can be boiled down to "pussy, weed, cocaine". Six Foot Seven Foot, on the other hand, is fantastically clever, and though the led Zeppelin fan inside of me dies little every time I listen to it for enjoying a Lil Wayne song, I hold that it is one of funniest and most inventive songs of the past decade in terms of abstract language, punchlines, word play and just pure charisma. Dang, that was waaaay longer than I intended it to be
oh my God Nickleback! XD haha that's pretty darn bad dude but I must admit, I kinda' like "Rockstar" too so no worries
