“It does seem fair,” he replied. “You can do the same. To answer your question, I was looking at it to get a better understanding of how it works. I’m sure you’ve noticed that there’s a lot of moving parts.”
She sighed, looking thoughtful. "Hm. Okay. Let's see.. spiders, snakes, big horses, being alone forever, some dogs, long and wiggly bugs, small spaces, losing control, judgement, losing my friends, hogs.. Hm, what else.."
He laughed a little, tilting his head. "Interesting. Why..." He stopped himself, shaking his head. "Not my turn. Go ahead."
He gave her a small smile, raising one eyebrow. "Benedict," he said easily. "But I go by Ben unless I'm in trouble."
He sighed a little, looking down at the chains around his hands. "When will you and Puck let me go?" he inquired, looking back up at her. "If you don't have an exact time or day, the conditions surrounding my release will suffice."
She looked thoughtful, sitting down. "I suppose they're trying to figure out why you were messing with it and if you changed anything. There wasn't enough magyck for everyone."
"That seems like an awfully large assumption to make. Don't I have rights?" he inquired, tilting his head.
He laughed, leaning his head back. "I think it's still a little rude to lock me up like this, but no matter."
"You'll have to take that up with someone who is in charge," she said. "Anyways.. How did you know my name?"
