He gave her a small smile. (LOOK OVER THERE A ZOOP) They emerged from the Dwarven trail to the Ortus into a wasteland. The ground underneath them was dry and sandy and barren and the sun beat down, blowing hot wind along the landscape. Ben squinted, frowning. "Oh, dear."
Ben, for his part, seemed to not be interested in the heat, squinting up at the sun. "Let's move, then."
The landscape in front of them was flat. As night fell, they would see a small town on the horizon. Ben pointed. "We'll stop there."
