Ben looked around in thought before he started laughing. "If I didn't have my wings, I could pretend to be a human and go try to get some information from town."
"They wouldn't be nearly as difficult if we were humans," he told her. "They just... don't like the Natural Races. It goes both ways."
“We’re not really going to the kingdom,” Ben replied. “That would be pretty foolhardy. But we are passing it.”
“We’re hitting the small villages of the area,” Ben said. “I’m sure we can find someone who is displeased with the Dwarven rulers.”
He looked down at her before lying next to her, looking up at the sky. Puck, for his part, sat on his bedroll, pulling his knees up to his chest.
The stars were incredibly clear out in the desert. She would know a little about the constellations for her potions, but she would have never been able to pick them out with such precision.
Ben was looking up at the stars too, but he turned and looked at her, and his brow furrowed. "What is it?"
