“I don’t think you will,” he said thoughtfully, drumming his fingers on the table. “You’re really powerful, Calliope. Really. You just gotta learn how to control your emotions a little more. Push ‘em down, you know?”
He laughed a little before tapping the top of her menu. “You just feel too much,” he said easily. “Have you figured out what to get?”
“That does sound good,” he repeated, nodding to himself, taking her menu and staking it on his. “I want to hear more of what you’ve been working on. How are your studies?”
His face still had that playful, boyish charm, but his face was soft and he watched her. “I really missed you, Cal,” he said, tilting his head.
He seemed a little tired, but he straightened up as a younger, teenager elf came up to them, holding a notepad. “Welcome to Bluebells,” she said brightly. “What can I get for you two?”
Puck looked up, giving a charming smile. “And I’ll just have a stack of pancakes, please,” he said easily. The waitress might have flushed before hurrying off to complete their order. Puck raised an eyebrow at Cal. “You can’t be scared of the waitress, Calliope.”
She turned to him, crossing her arms defensively. "That is my natural state," she said indignantly. "Also, I think that girl was charmed by you."
He smirked, raising one eyebrow. “Everyone is charmed by me,” he replied playfully. “You should know that by now.”
He started laughing, shaking his head playfully before extending his arm. “Wanna arm wrestle? You can use Magyck.”
