He sidestepped it, watching her carefully. They were trying to see if she could adjust her shots in midair.
It turned in midair and moved towards him. He laughed a little, sidestepping it again. "Come on. Let's go for three in a row."
It did it the third time and he waved a hand, the claw disappearing instantly. He turned to her, his arms lifted in victory. "You did it!"
She quickly came over to him, wrapping her arms around him as she hugged him. "Thank you for teaching me, Ben."
He laughed a little, leaning back and pulling her up in the air for a moment before setting her back down. "Of course. You always had it in you."
"It's the least I could do," he said affectionately, brushing her hair out of her face gently before letting her go. "Listen, do you want to go down to Luce and put in a lunch order? I have an idea that I want to set up for when you get back."
"I'll be here," he replied easily. The pathway to the kitchens was one she was well familiar with by now, and as she entered, Luce looked up. "Hey, Cal!"
"Hi, Luce. Ben said to come down for lunch. All he told me was that he wanted the usual.. I just want a sandwich."
