They lifted him by the arm roughly, and he stumbled slightly, struggling to walk as they moved him down the hall. The medic lead frowned, following them. "Be careful. He's unsteady."
Ben was set in the Fae cage and he frowned, sitting on the bed uncertainly as he looked around. "This... so I'm in the elf kingdom now?"
He frowned, folding his hands. The medic lead spoke up. "We'll be back in a bit, Benedict," she said. She paused, glaring at the guards. "Don't let them bully you."
The medics left and the guards squinted before looking at Calliope. “We’ll be stationed down the hall,” one said. “Give a shout if you need something.”
They both left the room and Ben was quiet for a moment, his brow furrowed tiredly before his gaze flickered up to her. “I’m glad to see you.”
He took a deep breath, his arms gently wrapping around her. “I’m so relieved that you’re here,” he murmured. “I... I thought they were lying. I was sure they were, but...”
He pulled her closer, resting his forehead on the top of her head. “I missed you too. You got out. I’m so proud of you.”
He laughed a little, sounding incredulous. “The Queen gave a royal decree that I should not be hugged?”
She nodded, pulling away and folding her hands. "I mostly stayed in the palace and answered questions.. most people thought I had been brainwashed. Puck.." she hesitated, looking down and shrugging. "I don't think he sees me as his friend anymore. They.. They said when he found you he did some sort of 'treatment' but I don't know what happened.'
