The hands did move forward, although her high level of nerves restricted her, and instead, they swept past him, leaving him mostly unharmed except with a small cut across his face. He paused, touching it lightly, and one brow raised in interest. "Fascinating," he mused, considering the blood on his fingertips before he looked up at her. "You. You're fascinating."
He tilted his head, but glanced up at the Ortus. "I'd love to continue our chat, but my work here is done. Happy Solstice, Elf." He gave her a small nod, but instead of going past her to the Elf pathway, he turned around and went the opposite way, down the human threshold.
She looked panicked, looking up at the Ortus before going to follow him and grab his arm. "You can't just mess with it and leave!"
He turned to her, looking down at her hand before taking her wrist and pulling it off. "You're almost out of Magyck, elf. I wouldn't pick a fight with me right now. I was just repairing it. Even immortal machines require upkeep."
He smirked, tilting his head. "I don't expect you to," he replied. "Go gather your Magyck. Forget what you saw."
He raised an eyebrow before reaching out and his magyck darted out, grabbing her and pulling her back to him. "I don't think you understood, Elf," he said quietly.
He reached out and brushed her forehead gently. "I told you to forget what you saw," he said quietly, his eyes focused on hers. She would begin to feel a cloudiness roll in, taking over her thoughts.
His hand was soft against her forehead, and although she struggled valiantly, he took over soon after. "You're intriguing, Calliope," she would hear him say. "But you can't get in the way. I was never here." Darkness faded in for a moment before all of a sudden, she regained her senses, standing alone in front of the Ortus. She would not be able to remember what had happened in the past few minutes, but everything else was intact.
The Magyck poured gently into the containers that she had brought, turning a soft and familiar blue as it embraced its new owner. She would feel refreshed and renewed, energy spiking through her whenever the Magyck touched her.
(Zoop!) She would head back to Puck's apartment eventually. He wasn't home, but they key worked, and she let herself into a small apartment that was very neat. The walls were painted a soft blue and the window had a great view, but it wasn't much more than a bedroom, a kitchen area, and a bathroom. He had obviously made an effort to make it comfortable though, tidying up and filling the fridge.
She looked around, her shoulders slowly relaxing before she found a place to set her bags, yawning a little.
He had set up the bed for her with a small note. "Hi Calliope! I might be late tonight. I know. I'm sorry; something's come up. I put food in the fridge for you, but if nothing like that suits your fancy, feel free to order out or go get food in the city. The key serves as a money card and you can just put the purchases on that. Make yourself at home! See you soon, -Puck"
She frowned slightly, her fingers brushing the writing as read. After she was done, she went to relax, looking out the window.
