It seemed as he was hovering around a topic that he wasn't willing to discuss, and he shook his head. "Nevermind."
He frowned, looking very uncomfortable. "That's not right," he protested, looking at her sternly. "I'm not going to tell you."
She looked rather upset, but didn't say anything at first. Instead, she turned, going to finish showing him around.
"It's not mine to tell," he repeated, watching her. There was something earnest about his gaze, and he approached her, tilting his head. "I could solve this all in a second, or... at least, I think I could. But I can't."
He fell silent, rubbing the back of his neck. "Just... it'll happen naturally, I think. Don't confront him; he'll hate me even more than he already does."
She looked like she could have burst into tears at any moment. "I don't know how to feel, Ben. There's no guide telling me what to do, so I'm just.. confused. I don't even know how I feel."
