His face fell a little and a hard look crossed his face. "I don't know," he said eventually. "She... doesn't entirely trust me, which is understandable."
His gaze flickered down to her. "You don't have to apologize," he replied, one brow raised thoughtfully. "It's not your fault."
"That's exactly why he'll change," he told her, looking down at her as he cradled the back of her head. "He's just... he's hurting and he doesn't know how to deal with it. It'll be okay."
He frowned a little before sighing, shaking his head a little. "Try and think about what you would tell him if he came up to you and told you about the situation. If you had no biases one way or another, you would still acknowledge that he isn't being fair. He'll realize that."
He gave her a playful wink, kissing her forehead before taking her hand. “Show me the rest of the castle?”
She gave him a small smile, her ears perking up a bit. "That was was cute. I'll show you around more."
