    I haven't even got a chance to read the comics yet, but I know they did a Nightmare Moon origin story, and to my knowledge, the comic is supposed to be cannon. So if they wind up telling a whole new origin story for Nightmare Moon, I'll just have to brace myself for the fan-rage. Still, it looks like a really powerful scene, one that I'm sure will be epic once it's finished.
