Blue Flame sat back, letting his body get comfortable. Sadly, it was tense. "So, There's a witch I have to take out or somethin'? Because I could have done something else, but I got bored and heard things about how this guy is so "evil" and "how he rules over Equestria."
Laissez shot blue a glare before resuming. "I'd assume that there might be balloon patrols or something covering the air. Last time a pegasus tried to breach the top floors..." he made a flapping, using a hoof to represent the pegasus before shaking and making a "ZZZZZT!" sound then a whistle as the hoof dropped. "As for what happens in there, I don't know sadly. It is assumed it used as his private studies and workshops so, juicy information up there."
"The ground entrance is the single most protected building since the castle of the lost princesses fell. Unless you think you can take on 3,000 mindless brutes each, I think we're going to try and sneak in on one of the supply trains. Am I correct?"
"You mentioned an underground train system earlier. If air is not a viable option and with above ground defences as they are I can only assume you've thought up a way for us to get in through the train tunnels. " said Imp, turning her gaze from the board to Laissez
"Why yes, I have devised two plans involving the train system!" He pinned a few more pictures up involving a train depot, the outside of one of the underground train tunnels, and many more concerning interior and shipments. "Plan A is we go to Manehatten and commandeer the train there and ride it straight into the network, hopefully undetected, make our way up from the tunnel to Davenlork and off him. Now, plan B is more fun though..." He pinned up a picture of what looked like a supply depot and some TNT. "Plan B is like plan A, except, while at Manehatten we snag a bit of dynomite at their supply depot, load it on the train, drive it under the tower and make it go boom. Provided we don't die in the process, maintenance should be one the first responders so, as soon as the come out from a probably locked door, we knock'em out, go through the maintenance tunnels to the maintenance and ride that up to Davenlork and kill him. If there is a maintenance system, after all." "Now there is a Plan C but it's much boring and harder. Any questions so far?"
"Plan A seems to be the best option" Lupus piped up. Yeah she had been rather quiet! Thinking and calculating really did leave one silent! "Afterall, more damage, means drawing more attention to ourselves" She stated, looking at that TnT an Train figure. "But one question, do you have any schematics on the tower itself? Or floorplans for the lower levels?"
Imp nodded "The fuzzy one is right. Although plan B does sound...exilerhating, plan a would give us the best chance for survival and we might be able to preserve the element of suprise, If we're lucky that is." She paused, then added," the TNT could come in handy once we get in though...it might be a good idea to swipe some at the depot even if it's not used as a distraction. Nopony is immune to being blown to bits after all, wizard or no. "
"If the tower has hardened sub-floors we may want to proceed with pyrotechnic route. After all the best to build something new is to clear the old away. Sneaking through the lower levels will be a slow and laborious endeavour, and leave all tower defenders still In place behind us." Spring begins playing with a hinge from his bags as he talks. "If we demolish their defenses, and defenders, we not only clear our route but we make sure no one is behind us when we climb the tower. Blue Flame listened to the conversation, noting a few things to himself, "I'll do whatevers best. I'm a mercenary, so going undetected should be hard. Plan B sounds fun and all, but plan A is probably best."
"So, we all agree on Plan A but might swipe some TNT on the way? I can work with it." He unpined a few of the pictures pertaining to the train and the depot. "Anything you guys should feel we need to get out of the way or should we set out post-haste?"
"Hmmm," Blue Flame thought for a moment. He did have merc. work to do, and if he didn't complete today then the pony who hired him would most certainly grabbed all fifty of his buddies and go after him, "Nope, I got nothing."
"Longer we wait, the more time that we waste." Lupus nods, moving already out! Yeah! She was a little more than eager to go into action!
"Since we're all in agreement on the plan, maybe we should get to know each other a little before charging headlong into a massive tower of magical monstrosities?" He sighed and looked around at everypony. "These people are all insane. They will all get themselves killed if I don't make sure they use at least SOME common sense..." he thought to himself.
"Yes, yes, we can get to know each other on the way there but, there's something I'd like to show you all that might make the trip there a bit easier!" Laissez said enthusiastically, beckoning the group to follow as he led them down to the factory floor to a large, bulky object covered in canvas. "The colts and mares down in S&R thought this up and wanted me to give it a test run I got the chance. Tell me, do any of grow tired of the boring mode of transportation known as trotting? Do you long for a safer trip outdoors without exposure to the elements? Do you wish you could control the speed of your carriage rides without having to pay anypony extra bits? Well, today, you might get a taste of the future..." His horn glowed as his magic lifted the canvas to reveal a large, black passenger carriage with an odd steam engine on the back of it. Near the front where the driver would sit a wheel and two pedals on either side of the seat. "I know I may be showing off, but I feel like now would be a grand time to test it. If you all are willing do that is..."
Lupus stared at it, just stared! "That looks more like it is suited for pushing down a hill, than riding in. How are you supposed to harness it? I see no way to pull it" She frowns, moving over to it... "This looks rather good for display, but what can it do?" She just tapped a wheel with a hoof... not impressed
"The thing is..." Laissez hopped onto the driver's seat and held down the pedal left of him before mashing the right one down. The steam engine began to whirl to life as steam whistled from it. He stopped mashing after a few moments before looking down at Lupus, letting of the left pedal as the carriage wet forward steadily on it's own. Laissez took it for a lap around floor gleefully before stopping back at the group. "It doesn't need anypony to pull it!" he laughed. He mashed down down on the left pedal again as the engine slowly whirled down. "They're thinking about calling it the 'Auto-Carriage'! Can believe what this can lead to?!" he laughed uncontrollably, calming down minutes later. "Anyhow, we must get going soon so, who wants to test out this new baby?"
Blue Flame studied for a bit. He has taken down many ponies who had built machines to take over businesses. One actually thought about an auto-pistol, but man did that fail. He looked at the engine, "This looks like it can move, does this engine take oil? Because I don't any other thing that'll need oil except for factories."
