"Just keep moving," Eliza said wearily. "Try and convince others to join us, but really, just keep moving."
She hesitated before laughing quietly, shaking her head. "Can I be completely honest with you? I don't remember what it was. I didn't want to know it when you told me."
The next colony was on the horizon. Eliza squinted in the setting sun, her breathing slow and ragged. They had walked nearly twenty miles that day, and the entire team was exhausted.
Vaughn seemed to be doing decent okay, but Sona was a bit worse for wear. She kept up, though, looking tired.
She waved him off. "I'm fine.. I never had good stamina. I'm used to being inside and just.. dealing with kids. They're usually slower than me and easy to catch up to."
