"Alright, I think I can solve most of your problems, just stand in the water and we will begin." Light said in a calm voice, trying to keep Aqua from getting nervous, "Now, I know I wont be able to fix all the damage as it is old, but I can fix it very well. How can I put this...Imagine having a brand new thing that you bought damaged just enough to where, even though it works, it is a lot different and much slower and liable to mess up. Now imagine me as the fixer who, though cannot make it new again, can make it run like new. Now, may I begin?"
"Alright, please keep your mouth open." Light said as his horn lit up. Deep inside Aqua, a strange feeling washed over her, and soon a bunch of smoke poured out from her mouth, but as quickly as it started, it stopped, barely giving her enough time to react. At the same time, she felt her lungs suddenly start to feel a lot better and able to expand more than they once did. Within 30 seconds, Light was done and he looked up with a small smile, "You are now healed. I'll just check you over one last time...aaannd in the water you are completely, and totally normal health wise."
Light nodded, "Yep, your vocal cords are healthy once more, you won't feel any pain while speaking, that's where most of the smoke was from in fact."
Aqua cleared her throat, and words poured out. The were smooth and melodic. It seemed that not being able to talk for 6 years improved your voice. "This... is amazing! You're brilliant!"
Light smiled fully, he loved the feeling of a successful operation, "Thank you, but I just know this from experience. And you've got quite the lovely voice, but I'm going to say it probably wouldn't be safe to speak too much too soon as your vocal cords are probably unused to being used. But by no means not talk, just not too much if you know what I mean." Light said, "Now, should we go let the others know of the success?"
"Of course, though I'm a bit worried about Sun. It's not like her to not be bouncing off the walls everywhere. I would have though she would have come out by now." They walked in to Sun, bouncing off the walls.
"Looks like you were right." Light remarked, seeing Sun's heartbeat as off the chart on the diagnosis bubble. He sighed and picked a cot, he probably wasn't going to be needed for any major operation any time soon so he might as well relax. "So how did it go?" Winter asked expectantly.
Winter smiled, "Good job Light! Good to hear that you can talk Aqua!" He then suddenly felt homesick, Aqua's voice reminded him quite a bit of his wife's. He looked away from the others sadly, he had to find a way back home.
"It's just that, well I have a family to get back to, and your voice reminded me a lot of my wife's voice." Winter said sadly.
"Oh, you must not be able to talk for long." Winter remarked sadly, "Anyways, it's fine, it's not like you can do anything about it."
Aqua was silent for a moment. "OK, I'm going into the woods to try and find food and other things." she wrote. "I'll be back shortly." - - Auto Merge - - She cantered out into the jungle. She found some bananas, and some warm fluffy leaves that could serve as blankets. She also found a uniquely shaped rock, almost exactly like a soup pot. The last things she found were coconuts, dry leaves for bandages, and more fish. She used her magic to carry the load back. On her way, she looked up, and saw a strange bird staring at her. Suddenly, it cawed and flew at her. She shrieked, and hit it with the first thing she found. A sharp rock. A small wave rose out of the ground, and swept it away. She sighed in relief and hurried back to camp. - - Auto Merge - - Aqua trotted into the fort. "That was crazy!" she wrote. "A bird just attacked me! That jungle is certainly dangerous." She shuddered, and put down her supplies that she found. She passed the firm, but dry leaf to Light. "Can you use this at all for bandages?"
Light nodded, "Thank you Aqua. This will be quite useful." "You know, if help doesn't come, we should try to find a way to at least jerry-rig the boat so it's at least marginally sea worthy." Winter interjected.
