She reached back for his hand, glancing over her shoulder.

 

“You want to go see the jellyfish?”

 

“You heard me.”

 

“Then let’s go see them,” she replied, giving him a small smile. “Okay?”

 

She pulled him forward, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.

“You okay? You seem a little out of it.”

 

“You still seem out of it.”

 

“But like, you seem... I don’t know. Bothered.”

 

She slipped an arm around his waist, looking around thoughtfully.

“Would you tell me if you were?”

 

She rested her head on his side, moving towards the jellyfish.

 

They entered the jellyfish room, and Poppy squinted.

“Jellyfish have always freaked me out a little.”
