"Like a road trip?"
“A short one, yeah.”
"That would be nice."
Her brows raised. “Really?”
"Yeah. I mean, why not?"
Her grin was immediate and she squeezed his hand. “Okay. Let’s go.”
He nodded. "Let's."
They stepped out into the sunshine and she glanced back at him. “Who’s driving?”
He shrugged. "I don't mind."
She laughed before tossing him the keys. “Fine. Don’t kill us.”
He squinted at her. "Don't start."
“I won’t if you drive safely.”
"I will! I always drive safe with you."
“I’m sure,” she said wryly, slipping into the passenger seat.
"Poppy, you're bullying me!"
“You can’t take it?”
"Nope. Not when it's my fiancee."
“That’s... unfortunate.”
He grinned, getting in. "Yeah it is."
She buckled in her seatbelt. “So, any ideas where our end destination should be?”
