"Well, I'm going on a playdate."
He squinted at her. "Did you ask just to rub that in my face?"
She giggled, patting his face. "It's with my friend Matthew. We're gonna get married someday."
He laughed. "You think?"
"Yeah. We're in love."
"Since when?"
"Since..." She counted on her fingers. "Since three... no, four days ago."
He raised his eyebrows. "That's a long time."
"Uh huh. And he has a crush on me. Jen told me so."
"Did you ask him yourself?"
She giggled, patting his face while shaking her head. "No, silly. That's scary."
He rolled his eyes. "Well you have to ask. Then you know for sure."
She frowned, crossing her arms. "What if he doesn't like me back?"
"Didn't Jen say that he did?"
"Jen did, but she lies. And picks her nose."
"That's gross. Maybe you should find a subtle way to ask him?"
She frowned. "What does subtle mean?"
"Like.. make it.. so it's not obvious."
"But... how?!" Bee asked, obviously distressed.
