She laughed lightly, feeling her eyelids grow heavy as she turned her head to look at the sky above them. She was quiet, sensing that perhaps Francis was falling asleep and she didn't wish to disturb him. Instead, she turned on her back, watching the stars twinkled down at them, and she let her breathing grow steady. (Alright. I have a couple. The British accent should be American though. Neither of them are quite right, but they're on the right track I think. First... Spoiler: Matthew MacFayden Side note: this is a great movie if you're a hopeless romantic like myself. Or this one. (Okay, I gotta start posting OOC before the actual RP, because I end up completely forgetting, which is probably really annoying when I don't reply. I think Fishburne's voice would be pretty similar to Francis, same with MacFayden. I actually like the forest movie a lot, hehe. As for Poppy's voice, it's really hard to describe. I feel like it's really nice to listen to, and has an American accent, but it's probably light and has a warm tone a lot. I'm sure I'll be able to find examples as soon as I get my computer in a half hour.) Francis only dozed off a bit, half awake and half asleep. He would probably say he was just resting his eyes, but it was a bit more than that.
(I'm not even sure that I know what Poppy sounds like, and I made her. She shifts so much in my brain that it's hard to get a solid image of her in my mind.) Poppy fell asleep gradually, forcing herself to wake up at random intervals until she finally succumbed to sleep. She remained close to him, but she turned to her side and curled herself into a fetal position, her head ducking underneath her blanket so that only her hair, almost red against the white of the cotton, was able to be seen.
(I feel like it might a bit difficult to find an example for her, cause her voice changes every time I think of it, but it always has the same general sound.) Francis moved, and was suddenly exposed to the chill of the room after his blanket slipped off. He sat up quietly, looking around the room before his eyes rested on Poppy. He placed a hand on her shoulder, determining whether he should take her to her room or not.
(I get the struggle! It's tough.) Poppy murmured under his touch, and she shifted slightly, the blanket pulling down to her chin. Her eyes remained closed, but she seemed on the verge of waking up.
(So, like, just ended a 77 hour Skype call.) He very carefully kissed her cheek, then waited for her to settle back into deeper sleep. I bed would be more comfortable than a cold glass floor.
(How are you still alive right now?!) Her breathing steadied, and her head settled back into the blankets after a few minutes.
(I slept with the call running, though it was usually very early in the morning.) He gingerly picked her up, though this time it was different than before. It was closer, more secure, comfortable. He sighed, standing up, looking down at her affectionately before opening the door.
(Ohhh. Gotcha. Well, congrats!) Poppy's head turned towards his chest almost instinctively, and her fingers rested on his sternum as if feeling for his heartbeat. Her form relaxed into his arms like a puzzle piece sliding into place. The hallway beyond was dark and quiet in the early morning, the occasional emergency light illuminating the path for him.
(but I didn't sleep last night and now I'm super tired but sleep is for the weak.) Halfway to the room, he realized her didn't have her key, and it would be difficult reaching for it. Instead, he decided she would have to sleep in his room tonight. Once he got to the room, he managed to get it open, despite having his hands full. The room was almost pitch black, only slightly illuminated by moon and star light. He found his way to the bed, which was made except for the blanket, which was around him. He set her down easily, in the same position she was before.
(sleep is for the weak or sleep for a week. it's your choice.) She murmured slightly as he set her down, but didn't stir much beyond that. Her head rested on her open palm, and her breathing was steady.
He sat at the end of the bed for a bit, replaying the days events in his head. After awhile, he went to lay down next to her, looking at the ceiling on his back. In a few minutes he shut his eyes, slowly falling asleep. Once his breathing was slow, and he dozed off, he turned and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer to him.
(HNNNNGGGG) Poppy opened her eyes blearily, feeling his arms around her and his chest against her back. She paused, and the hint of a smile played at the corner of her mouth. Her hands closed around his, and she fell back asleep, her thumb lightly tracing shapes onto his skin. (Time skip?)
(Yep. I feel like Francis really likes cuddling and stuff, but will completely deny it when anyone asks.)
(Alrighty!) When she woke, the first thing she saw was his collarbones. Somehow, during the night, she had turned, and now she was facing him with his arms around her. She paused for a moment while she tried to get a sense of place, before relaxing in his arms, leaning her forehead against his chest gently.
He shifted, his arms pressing against her back for a moment. One of his hands moved into her waist, the other was underneath her.
She blinked but said nothing, only glancing up at his sleeping face. She paused, watching how he relaxed in sleep, and she went over what had happened the night before. Had it really only been a day ago that she had been speaking to Phos? She bit her lip and slowly exhaled, her shoulders slackening with the action.
He murmured something unintelligible, before his eyes slowly opened, squinting in the light. He looked down at her, a slight tone of surprise. "Good morning."
