“Yes, darling,” she said, reaching up to kiss his jaw. “Don’t worry.”
He nodded. "Okay. Vanilla shake it is."
She leaned against his with a nod. “Can’t believe you said chocolate.”
"Oh hush. I was teasing."
“It was cruel.”
"I'm sorry for being so mean to you."
She shook her head chidingly, holding his face in her hands. “I’ll never forgive you.”
"What have I done?:
“Something that cannot be fixed.”
"My worst mistake yet."
“I guess the marriage is over.”
"And to think it just started."
“I know. What a pity. I was really looking forward to growing old with you.”
"I was looking forward to that as well. Wouldn't that be better?"
“Perhaps...”
"I think it would be better."
“I do enjoy your company...”
"I still love you."
