She grinned and shrugged, the movement smooth through her shoulders. "Well, good thing I'm not scared of you. Your threats do not hinder me."
"I think that's a good thing. I'd have to convince you to not complain through other forms of persuasion, though."
"Maybe not right now. Wouldn't want to be seen asking nicely in public, you know?" he asked jokingly, taking her hand.
"I understand," she said, nodding with mock seriousness. "But, unfortunately, that means I have to complain the whole way back. You realize that, yes?"
She gave him a mischievous grin, and then her expression changed to a pout. "Ugh," she groaned, rolling her eyes. She pitched her voice slightly higher, and it had a nasally tone to it. "The meetings are too long, and the missions are too easy. These shoes are too tight! The plane makes my ears pop..."
Her expression changed back to normal, and she eyed him with a grin. "You wouldn't dare," she said in a hushed tone.
"You're right, I wouldn't. But me saying that did get you to stop, didn't it?" He raised his eyebrows at her.
"I took mercy on you," she said with mock haughtiness. Her thumb rubbed small circles into the side of his hand. "Although I could continue complaining if you miss it."
"Hmph. I could stand to hear less than I've already heard. Not more," he said, glancing at her. "Then, I would really have find to a way to quiet you."
She was quiet for a moment before glancing up at him. "You couldn't silence me," she said coolly, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "I'm too quick. You'd never catch me, and your words would be lost on my ears.."
"Who said I would use words?" His grip around her hand tightened. "And I've already got you." His voice was smooth and knowing, and a smirk formed on his face.
