"What's that supposed to mean? Is your rope too good for this job?" Poppy asked, hooking her arms under the other's armpits and dragging him over to the tree. She tried to treat him as gently as possible, and leaned him against the tree.
"Right," she said skeptically, but the smile on her face was true, and she tied up the second scout. She stood back, with her hands on her hips and chuckled. "Since you're the one that needs to be in the gown, you get to undress him," she said, jerking her thumb towards the unconscious scout.
"You weren't regretting it before?" Poppy asked, covering her eyes with her hands and turning around.
"I don't often regret things until it's time to do them." He said, and after a moment he was wearing the clothes the scout was wearing over his own. "Ew. I swear I'm taking it off as soon as were inside."
"Yeah. Hopefully they aren't too smart about what their scouts look like." He continued walking, waiting for the headquarters to appear in the distance.
They didn't have to walk long. They soon came across a large mountain, and there was a 40 foot tall archway into the side of the mountain. Many members streamed to and from, and Poppy took a shaky breath. "Jesus," she said, shaking her head. "That's huge."
"How.. exciting," he said with a monotone voice, watching the members. He walked towards the entrance, making sure she was in front of him.
Her hands were trembling, and she put them behind her back to keep them from being seen. She kept her head down, and walked ahead of Francis, ignoring her pounding heart. (I'm imagining that you have something planned, so I'm going to leave this part to you, if that's okay. If you don't have something, I do it if you'd like.)
(This is a part I have not planned very much.) He put his hand on her shoulder, and escorted her to the front, where he faced another member. "Ahem. I, uhm, found her while scouting the woods. Undoubtedly someone after the coordinates of the base."
(Oh, alright!) The person glared at her through under his hood. His eyes were dark and threatening, and Poppy kept her head down. "Get her to the holding cells," was all he said, before talking to the next person.
The entrance examiner pointed off into the building with his thumb, focusing on a checklist in his hands. "Go down that elevator to the bottom floor," was all he said. "You can't miss it."
"Right." He took her to the elevator, and pressed the button to go down. When it closed, he sighed. "Easier than I thought."
"I'm worried," Poppy said biting her lower lip. "It feels almost too easy." She shook out her trembling hands and folded her arms across her chest, trying to look like she wasn't as scared as she was.
"Don't worry about it. They have no way of knowing we were coming." He leaned against the back of the elevator, oblivious to her worry.
"Except the plane crash," she said, cocking her head. "And the unconscious scouts. And the medic who is completely unable to act."
