She blinked, looking up at him.

"About what?"

 

She frowned, leaning against him.

"I don't think I understand."

 

"Oh," she said, relaxing slightly as she leaned back against him. "I think we're really lucky to have you."

 

She frowned up at him lightly, tapping his nose.

"Don't do this."

 

She waved her fingers at him before exhaling, turning her face into his chest, holding Diana close.

"You were really good, you know."

 

"Yesterday. I couldn't have done it without you," she said, her voice quiet as she traced Diana's features lightly with her pointer. "I couldn't have done it without you holding my hand."

 

She looked up at him after a moment, a small smile playing on her lips.

"She has your eyes. It makes me so happy that she has your eyes."

 

"Yeah," she said, looking back down at her for a moment. "Yeah. It makes me really, really happy."

 

She blinked, tilting her head slightly as her free hand came to her head.

"What about my hair?"

 

"Oh," she said slowly, looking back down at her, her brows furrowed. "I see."
