“Not at all,” she insisted, leaning over and kissing his cheek before glancing back at Diana. “I think it’s lovely.”
They pulled up to the house and Poppy started, sitting up suddenly. "Whoa. Where's..." Her eyes landed on him for a moment before she turned her head, looking back at Diana before relaxing. She relaxed, nodding slightly.
"I thought..." She ran her fingers through her hair sheepishly. "I thought that maybe she had been a dream."
He nodded slowly, getting out. "Maybe you should rest a bit when we get inside, alright? I'm sure you're tired."
