Poppy's back was to him, the back of her neck exposed from her hair being pulled up. She was working at the stove, and Diana was drinking from a sippy cup, gurgling when she saw him.
She looked back at him in surprise before dimpling, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Hey. Good morning."
She cheered as Poppy brought a plate of waffles over, setting them on the table with a cup of coffee, a small bit of whipped cream on top with chocolate shavings.
"I know," she said smugly, cleaning off Diana's face with a cloth and beginning to put her hair back in a french braid while she continued to eat. "So, she has a backpack that has her lunch and some toys in it, and..." She hesitated before smiling up at him. "You don't have to use it if you don't want to, but she does have a carrier..."
"She's just... you know. Very adventurous. So if she wants to crawl somewhere, she will. Or... walk now, I guess."
