“Have you?” she asked amusedly as Diana moved to pat his face energetically. “Been getting much work done?”

 

“Did she?” she cooed, taking Diana from him. Diana gurgled, her hands in Poppy’s hair.

“Mama.”

 

Poppy nodded, bouncing her on her leg.

“She’s got her priorities in order.”

 

She gave him a smile.

“Thanks for doing all this, Craw.”

 

She pulled out Diana’s lunch, passing her the applesauce. Diana began eating eagerly.

 

“It was alright,” she said looking up at him with a smile. “That combination I was just working on succeeded like I thought it would, so that’s really exciting. I’ve been working on it for weeks.”

 

“Hopefully, it should eventually become a solvent that will react when it comes in contact with skin cancer cells. So, if you spread it over your nose, you’d know if you should go in to get it checked out.”

 

She flushed lightly, shrugging.

“Well, I don’t know about that. I think it could help a lot of people, though.”

 

Her flush deepened and she looked down at her food.

“Thanks.”
