Poppy laughed lightly, heading to the kitchen. "He did indeed. It was about her porridge if I recall correctly."
"Mm," she agreed as they entered the kitchen. "He's so wonderful with her, though. I swear I'm not just saying that."
"Parents," she agreed, looking a little embarrassed as she brushed Diana's hair back. "I know it's... it's soon... but..."
He glanced back. "Hey, ma," he said warmly, turning to give her a hug. "Was the trip okay?" "It was just fine."
Diana gurgled, reaching for Francis excitedly as Poppy leaned against the wall. "How is everyone, Eliza?"
She hesitated before dimpling, glancing at Diana. "She's been excited to see you," she said as Diana stuck her fist in her mouth, gurgling slightly.
"Yeah," Poppy said amiably, passing her to Eliza. Diana cooed, patting her grandmother with her free hand.
