Poppy sighed as Diana played with Eliza's hair, gurgling contentedly. "Great. I'm looking forward to it."
He looked back, taking out plates. "I think so too," he agreed. "It's been lovely." Eliza smiled. "Grand to hear."
She gave him a loving grin, crossing her arms. "You wouldn't have thought, huh?" she asked, her voice quiet. "He's such a sweet dad to her. Only problem is that Diana's adopted my nickname for him. She calls him Craw."
Poppy suppressed a smile, reentering the room, holding the monkey triumphantly. Diana cheered, reaching for it.
Diana instantly stuck the hand of the monkey in her mouth, gurgling happily. Poppy went over to Francis, leaning her head against his shoulder as she watched.
