Poppy returned home that evening, yawning tiredly.

 

She blinked before coming over to them, brushing back Diana’s hair and kissing Francis’ cheek.

 

She beamed, tucking his hair behind his ear.

“Hello, love. How are you?”

 

She sighed, sitting by the couch and resting her head.

"Ugh. It was fine. Long."

 

"Sorta. Drake knocked over an entire row of beakers. It made a huge mess."

 

"It was," she said with a frown, shaking her head. "He's utterly incompetent."

 

"Not particularly," she grumbled, folding her hands and resting her chin on her fingers. "Just ridiculous."

 

She sighed, closing her eyes.

"Maybe. But you can't be clumsy in a lab."
