She rubbed his back through his shirt slowly, kissing the back of his neck.

"How's your arm?"

 

"The stitches holding up?"

 

"I should change the bandages this morning."

 

"Dinner?"

 

"Just at some point. I can change them."

 

"Well, it's actually really more what works for you. I don't have a hole in my arm."

 

"That's true..."

 

"Fine. We'll do it after breakfast."

 

She slipped off his back and after brushing her fingers through his hair once, she headed for the kitchen.

 

The smell of chocolate quickly drifted into the living room.
