"Yeah, well, we can't protect them if you go against us like this. Next slip up, Francis, and we'll drop our defenses. I swear we will.."
“And yet you stayed. And now you’ve attacked me to go against our protection. Do you know how foolish that is?”
"If it's going to be such a problem, shouldn't we do something? They've been terrorizing us ever since the bombings. I remember hiding in the woods after the initial attack, not to mention getting shot by that traitorous bastard. Even convincing people to side with us was a task, and our lives were in danger even then. We need to put a stop to this."
“We’ve been doing things, Francis. We’re in a war, for Christ’s sake, and you two were our best agents. You can’t just back away from *squee!* like this.”
"I mean something bigger than all of the little things were doing now," he replied, obviously frustrated. "I hate having to be protected because we can barely keep track of where they are."
“There are so many things we’re doing that you aren’t even aware of, Francis. We can send you on the front lines if you think you have all the right ideas.”
Francis rolled his eyes. "I can't do that, even if I wanted to. I have different responsibilities now."
