"Lovely," she said, turning back to the table. "I was worried you were going to break up with me over it."
"Oh, I definitely like that idea better," he said sarcastically. "Excuse me, Poppy, but we need to break up this very instant." He rolled his eyes.
She raised an eyebrow at him, a small smile on her lips. "Oh, good," she said. "I was hoping you would say that." She straightened up, her arms crossed across her chest. "So I guess this is it."
"It was nice, but it didn't last long enough in my opinion. Would you consider taking me back?" He smiled, lightly taking her hand. "Because I think I'm still in love with you."
She stepped closer to him, a shy smile crossing her face. "Hm," she murmured. "I'll consider it. Fortunately, I think I'm still in love with you too." (HNNNGGG)
"Oh, good. I knew this relationship was meant to be," he said, his voice smooth, and a bit conceited.
She squinted at him, slightly cocky. "You're way too confident seeing as we just broke up," she said.
"Yeah, but we also just got back together, so I have a reason. Besides, my confidence is not something we should worry about." (When you have multiple unfinished projects and then get the great idea to start another one is so fun so so fun)
"Is there something we should be worried about?" she asked, stepping back to look at him. (I believe in you!)
"Just an overbearing ego. Unless there's something else I can't think of right now, that is," he said teasingly. (Like I want to do an animatic for Francis but that will take a bit :c)
She regarded him with a raised brow, her dimples showing with her smile. "That's all I can think of right now," she said. "Although I'm sure there's something I'm missing." She shrugged smoothly. "It doesn't matter. I'm sure it can't be that important if we're both forgetting it." (Don't overexert yourself, but that sounds really cool!)
(MAYBE THE FACT THAT YOU BEAT PEOPLE UP WITHOUT CONTROL, FRANCIS) "I'm sure I have my flaws, and I can name plenty of them, but I don't think that is the point of the conversation right now, nor do I want to have to make a long list," he replied, raising an eyebrow. (Haha, thanks for your concern! I think I'll be able to figure it all out!)
(LOL) "Does this conversation really have a point?" she asked, leaning against the table. "It seems to only exist to play with emotions, which I think we both could do without." (Godspeed.)
"You're right. I have too big of an ego to not say that I'm perfect. There's been anyone as flawless as I!"
She laughed deeply, ducking her head. "Keep telling yourself that, Craw," she said affectionately as another scientist approached her. "Miss Abernathy," she said quietly. "There's been a mix-up with Eric and Beth's experiments. Could you maybe...?" "Of course," Poppy said. "I'll be there in a moment." She turned back to Francis as the girl hurried away. "I'll be right back, okay? I should be able to leave in another ten minutes or so. People are just panicking right now."
He nodded. "I understand. Wouldn't want to keep you from having all that fun." He smiled at her, fixing his sleeves. "I'll be waiting."
She gave him a small smile and tucked her hair behind her ear instinctually. "Okay. I love you." She headed towards a large crowd of scientists, pausing only to stop by Phos and tell him something in a quiet tone. He nodded, looking dejected, and she patted his shoulder before joining the group, where she seemed to mainly act as a peacemaker.
