She frowned, looking over at him. "What is it?"
"At least he didn't drink hydrogen peroxide."
She laughed slightly, shaking her head. "Yeah. It's good. I'm going to go put them to bed, alright?"
He nodded, pouring the wine.
She disappeared up the stairs.
He sat down, taking a sip.
She came back down about ten minutes later, looking a little tired. "How was your day?"
"Alright. Want some wine?'
"Sure," she said, coming over to him and wrapping her arms around his waist.
He offered her a glass.
She took it, studying his face. "Are you okay? You seem quiet."
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know," she said hesitantly, her thumb brushing his lip. "You seem sad."
He chuckled, kissing her nose. "I'm okay."
Her lips found his, and she kissed him. "Good."
He smiled slightly. "I love you.'
Her hands came up to cradle his jaw. "I love you too."
He took a sip.
She grinned, pulling away from him to go sit on the couch.
He followed, relaxing once he sat.
