She kissed him again, her hands cupping his jaw.

"I really do love you, you know."

 

She beamed, pulling away after a moment and resting her head on his shoulder.

"I could just fall asleep like this."

 

"Oh? Your leg may fall asleep."

 

"Hmph. Fine. I will."

 

“Right now. I’ll do it.”

 

She fell silent, her fingers running through his hair.

 

She actually did doze off after a while, exhaling a slow sigh of relief.

 

She woke about 30 minutes later, sitting up blearily.

"You let me sleep."

 

She frowned, slipping off of his lap and kissing the top of his head.

"You didn't have to do that."

 

"No. I'm sorry."
