Poppy looked in disbelief, glancing up with wide eyes at him. One of the agents cleared his throat. "As I was telling Mrs. Craw, you two have been summoned to return to your positions upon the S.S Olea with the purpose of meeting with various nations to discuss trade and peace."
He glared, raising an eyebrow. "Then we can figure something else out. I'm not going to leave them for that long."
“As we say, it is not recommended , but that doesn’t mean impossible. The details are enclosed,” he said, passing them a Manila envelope. Poppy hesitated before taking it, her fingers trembling.
There was an awkward silence as they stood before giving a quick nod and turning to leave. Poppy closed the door slowly.
Poppy’s arms were folded and she didn’t meet his gaze, staring instead at the ground, almost in shock.
"We..." Her voice cracked slightly and she took a shaky breath, shaking her head. "Are we going to have to leave our kids?"
